Tavoite oli mennä kovaa ja se onnistui. Helsingin NMKY II - Kokkolan NMKY. Mikropoikien harjoitukset keskiviikkoisin Hakalahden yläkoululla ja perjantaisin Torkinmäen alakoululla. Ensimmäiseen kotiturnaukseen oli helpompi valmistautua, koska oltiin jo kaksi ottelua pelattu ja tiedettiin suunnilleen mitä odottaa. Samalla toki aavisteltiin, että ensimmäisen ottelun vastustaja ei tule olemaan helppo.
