Trying to reconcile my American culture with my Korean heritage, I hope that blogging helps me to process and connect these two elements of my life. Growing up as a Korean adoptee, I did not have any real interest in Korean culture; I did not really embrace it. I did not want to stand out or to be different. Now, as an adoptive parent of a Korean daughter, I see these two elements in a new light and want to learn more about the Korean culture for both me and my daughter.
