Muslimah food for thought. Saturday, 23 October 2010. Having gheerah is not enough. Ive wanted to do a post on this topic for quite a while but kept putting it off. Something happened today that made me want to write about it right away- A question posed to me by a non muslim friend- Do the rules in Islam apply only to women? Why is it that Muslim men do stuff they wouldnt let their women do? The Quran says interpretation of the meaning. Some think they can change themselves once they are married; .CONTENT

Wednesday, July 22, 2009. This morning in my economics lecture, the professor discussed The Great Depression and how it shaped modern Canada. He said that although factories were ready to produce goods, they were empty due to high unemployment. He mentioned how workers marched outside of the factories, and even though they wanted to work, nobody would hire them. My professor labeled this phenomenon as the Paradox of the Depression.
