Friday, November 5, 2010. Current Legislation in Congress to End the Backlog. While the Debbie Smith Act is a wonderful piece of legislation, there is room for improvement. The act gives money to states and cities to be given to local law enforcement agencies. However, it does not require the state or the city to report the progress, if any, or enforce the agency to attempt to reduce and prevent a backlog.
What the War is Costing Us. Friday, November 5, 2010. Healthcare is a very important aspect of our society, and now that healthcare is universal, it could become more expensive. Therefore, if less money was spent on war, then more money could be used on healthcare. Which would improve the lives of Americans. I started off very broad with the topic racism and sexism in America. Dr Frost said I had to narrow down that broad topic to a specific topic in that area. My original focus was minorities in the workplace, and how they are increasing. However, by doing more research I found a better argument about how affirmative action is used in colleges and the workplace. From .CONTENT
