Great to meet the Principal of Mid Kent College Simon Cook. It was great to have a visit from Simon Cook the Principal of Mid Kent College when he visited me at home for one of our regular meetings discussing the education of our young people here in Medway. Like me, Simon is passionate about giving every young person in Medway the opportunity to excell and to make the most of the opportunities on offer to them here in Medway .

Luton Wayfield Labour

Over the last four years we have been proud to represent Luton and Wayfield. We have managed a sizeable amount of community casework and have passionately stood up for the issues that residents are concerned about. A lot has been achieved; but there is a lot more still to do.

Cyclist, organic gardener, football fan, and Labour Party member. Wednesday, 9 March 2011. Should Thanet Councillors Have Free Food and Drinks? On Conservative Thanet District councillors receiving free alcohol and food after Council meetings has attracted a lot of comment. Costs clearly vary from meeting to meeting and the number of meeting.

Its Easy Being Green Sustainability Equality Compassion

In my previous blog post I discussed my continuing emotional turmoil towards the Conservatives. And as part of that post I questioned a quote by a former local Councillor. And they have taken the time to respond. To the question about Leftist Mass-Murders. Well you assume he was calling you ignorant, he could have been calling you evil.

We saw that the webpage said " When I speak to local parents, one of the most pressing concerns I hear is whether their child is getting the best education possible." Sunday, July 05, 2015. There was no blogging for several years. It is now July, 2015. My last blog was in 2013. There seems to be a theme in my life. For some unknown reason, I am experiencing one of every delay and disaster type. My life reads like a cheap novel. This is a tragedy, but I know it will never improve. Does that complete the list? .

Musings from Mexico

My sometimes enchanted and sometimes not - now defunct blog about living in Mexico City and traveling in Latin America. I write about the crazy stuff that happens to me; on my bike, out on the town and wherever I travel. Somehow, I try to tie it all back to the music I love for your reading and listening enjoyment! Saturday, March 24, 2012. Saturday, November 18, 2006. The next day was a cloud until my actual, formal, despedida Saturday night.

Musings from Miklagard

Thursday, December 26, 2013. Driving along the Silk Road. We drove from Gazientep into the ancient Mespotamia, crossing the Euphrates river twice. Am on the Euphrates river was completed in 1990, is said to be one of the biggest dams in the world. It was built to generate electricity and to irrigate the plains in the region. The water flow in the Euphrates river is very irregular and used to cause big problems with drought in the summer and flooding in the winter. A gigantic mountain for a gigantic ego.
