I love church, family, quality time with loved ones, and Hallmark cards. But, I dont like Christmas, and I havent for years. As I grew older, and morphed into a bitter teenager and university student, I told myself that we were fighting the corporate take over of a religious holiday by not gift-giving. My mom would regularly tell me that I was becoming bitter. I responded by throwing myself into community service and giving to kids who didnt have anything.
