Wednesday, December 3, 2008. Yesterday, I handed out the book, The Great Gatsby, to my Junior English class. We ended up with a list of about a dozen things that students put together, giving them a decent background to the book. To reinforce this information, I played a 27-minute video,. Monday, December 1, 2008. That is exactly how I imagined it! 8221; But, overall I simply did not like the book. I had heard that I should. But alas, I did not. I also felt that there was a lot of unnecessary difficulty with the names of the characters and the places. I felt like after a while these became more of a distraction than an addition to the plot and the setting. This year I have be.
