Moysies Birding Blog

Sunday, 2 August 2015. The last couple of weeks. Since the delights of the Bee-eaters at Theberton, there have still been some really successful trips in the last few weeks. For starters, the patch has provided me with 6 big fat year ticks, including 5 lifers. The next bird to go on the list was Nuthatch, where we had tried 3 times for this elusive bird in Shrubland Wood this year and failed. Well, on July 23rd, we finally saw one, calling and moving around the wood with a tit flock. Odd company.Incre.

Ellis Wildlife Walks

Some of my birding adventures! Wednesday, 22 July 2015. Yesterday evening news popped up of a Golden Oriole. In Thirsk which is only about half an hour away so as you probably expected we were soon ready to go! We got a little lost at first but thankfully we found the fishing lakes where it had apparently been spotted. On the way in was a very nice bonus. We started walking towards the lakes on where it had been seen by and it came to our luck that we saw it straight away! Afterwar.

Walkers Wildlife Photography

Some of my favourite photography experiences. Friday, 19 August 2016. The lighthouse surrounded by low clouds. Meadow Pipit feeding young at the nest. The young will be reasonably large as its carrying large food. Skylark nest with 4 young with feathers short. Meadow Pipit nest with three young with feather short. During the last week we spent most days walking up the west or east coast. This gave us the opportunity to look of the P.
