Hi, my name is Anna Holbert. I have been painting using oils for only 2 year but have had the desire for many years. My art ventures started painting still life art, then ventured into landscapes and fell in love. I live near the Smoky Mountains that offers many subject for painting. Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Here is 2 more of my paintings. OxBow Bend was painted from a photo I took of Mt. Moran and OxBow Bend, Jackson Hole, WY.
Tuesday, December 30, 2014. This painting I used one of my photos of Flagler Beach as my reference. We drove down to the beach to get sunrise pictures and the sky was covered with stormy clouds. This painting was entered in 3 art shows and won 3rd place in one of them. Saturday, January 4, 2014. Here is a black and white pencil portrait I was hired to pro.

I39;m Dianna Kilgore and I have been painting for 45 years. My favorite method of working is a modified traditional technique. I often under-paint with acrylics then paint layers of oils over the acrylics. I use many layers of glazes to achieve wet effects in water or glass and that inner glow that is reminiscent of the work of the old masters. Told hubby he was on night duty last night. Well baby stirred and whimpered around 4am last night thought hubby was too tired so I went out to make milk. Turns out that hubby made milk 2 hours ago. Usually I would wakeup when my hubby makes milk. Well at least baby did finish more than half of his milk.
