Sunday, June 26, 2011. North Dakota Flood of 2011. Sometimes real life gets in the way of cyberspace. After escaping Yellowstone we stayed in Idaho, then the next day drove to Salt Lake City were we discovered some of the rudest drivers ever. Seriously, I was astonished at the bad behavior. All 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a hallway upstairs are packed solid with stuff.
Everything old is new to me. Who was at fault? I could not say. As a tourist, I could see a reverence for preserving history, a respect that is sometimes lacking in this country. In the search for the almighty dollar, buildings and houses are cleared to make way for gas stations, strip centers and fast food joints. She is much better at that than I.

Tuesday, June 21, 2011. First off, PLEASE watch this video. It is a nice window of insight into life as a Miss USA contestant. I am flying back from Las Vegas as I write, and I am feeling all sorts of things right now. I am mostly stunned to be returning to New England after living what already seems like just a dream. Did that really just happen? It was exhausting and grueling, emotionally and physically draining, and completely amazing.
