Monday, 9 August 2010. Finally got the top finished - woohooo! Coconut, apricot and date loaves - delicious! We had our fair shares of knocks and bumps this weekend. Drawing up a birthday list - and then literally drawing all over it! A trip to the library yielded these lovely books. A little refashioning for Cassia. Hope you had a great weekend too! To bologna.

As a general rule, Golden Bay is sunny and breath-taking and beautiful and, well, golden. Spring flowers, a hat from Chile and lots and lots of cookies. A magical day on the slopes with lots of daredevil jumps. Finished with a lovely dinner and the traditional flaming cake to cap it off.

Monday, January 10, 2011. A whole year without posting! Too much to do on the family front, a little one to enjoy and watch grow, sleepless nights and crazy days of playing in the mud and the sand. A lot of crafting was done still, but no time to post! A pile of scarves for Pocket. Bird hair clip, one of my favourite. Barette avec un petit oiseau, une de mes preferree. I want to try and get back to this space, to create some space for myself again. By next week I am hoping.

Sunday, March 4, 2018. A long overdue photo, Bill contemplates his chilled chocolate stout, his secret-simon-santa gift that was much appreciated. This is a 500g punnet of pesto. The playing card is for perspective. I had a great crop of basil and along with some self-sown dill and parsley, it has kept the whitefly away from the tomatoes. I pleased I froze quite a bit of pesto. The plants I left in are a darker green now and the pesto is not as good. We moved the wood out the bac.

But these ones make me want to cast on NOW! Never mind all the other projects on the go! Of course, these would all be adorable on little girls too, but I think they work especially well for boys. I think this would be lovely with a hood too. Lots of these designers have published other funky patterns too, so be sure to click through and have a look at their other designs.

Thursday, February 28, 2013. Friday, April 9, 2010. Ok, I know I said I was going to focus on sewing, but autumn can be very distracting. First, I would like to stress that I am not a gardener. So it comes as a bit of a surprise to me that there is one plant that grows prolifically in my back yard. But it looks so lovely - that brilliant pinky-red is just divine. And still the rhubarb kept growing. And by the time it was finished, it was.
