We will be discussing the six main types of biomes, which are groups of ecosystems. This website will give you information on the biomes. The next site is one of my favorites! Monday, October 13, 2008. This week our focus will be on the water cycle. Student are expected to be able to describe and draw the water cycle. Here are some web sites to help them to practice the water cycle. The first resource is a video from Sweetwater. The video is short, only about 1 minute. There is also a quiz on this site. Sunday, October 12, 2008. This week we are studying change in weather! How appropriate since we are also changing seasons and now approaching the autumn months! We will be discussing the type of weather changes we see in each season. At this SEASON MATCHING SITE. You can match up the name of the season with the corresponding season. Perhaps you can do this as the first activity to see if your children understand the different kind of weather in each season.
