Tuesday, May 17, 2011. The lighting fixture is a reminder of an old life. Why was it left there? I look back at the ancient fixture. I look down now, the direction few people willingly ponder, unless they are feeling fatalistic, like a man on his deathbed who is drawn to the light. You almost want to climb outside and fall into it. I can feel the building creaking around me.
