Nació en Lanús, Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina, en 1950. Realizó estudios de Historia y Antropología en la Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires. Es egresado del Instituto de Arte Cinematográfico de Avellaneda como Realizador. Fundador y Director del Festival Nacional de Cine y Video Documental en Argentina. Coordinador del Movimiento de Documentalistas y Director de su Centro de Formación e Investigación Documental. Director de Canal 22-TVLibre de Buenos Aires.
