He had 21 works on show, and was 22 at the time. Len continued to display and sell works in Otaki galleries and exhibitions for many years. Len and Jean still found the time for travel in the campervan, and later by car, shorter trips around NZ visiting family, plus a growing number of grandchildren.

With many of the images I know nothing about the photographer, but where I do these details are listed, and with some images I have included memories from the photographers family members. Miramar Peninsula, Wellington, New Zealand. Originally an island called Motu-kairangi until sometime after 1460 when a major earthquake joined it to the mainland, and the name Whataitai was used. In 1840 surveyors divided the peninsula into 18 lots, 5 of which were purchased by James Watt, who never lived there, and the name Watts Peninsula was adopted. James Coutts Crawford purchased 500 acres, and was probably the first white settler on the peninsula. Miramar 1907. Hector McLeod and Co. St Aidans.CONTENT
