Since May we have been foster parents to 7 children. Yes, you read that number correctly and no, not all at the same time. The children we have fostered have ranged in age from 5 months to 11 years old. Our trainer called Thursday afternoon to let us know we are now approved and will be put on the Foster Parent List. Being a mom to twins makes like FLY past. Seriously, can we have known our boys for almost 2 years? How can that even be true? Being a mom to a singleton must be similar but I can only speak to what I am living. And what am I living? The most wild, fast-paced existence I could imagine. I look back at the person I thought I would be as a mom and I laugh at just how wrong I was. how my life would change because we have kids.
As most of you know, my beautiful wife got pregnant in August of 2011. After 7 months of trying, we were blessed with an angel. We received all of your congratulations and support along the way, and we knew that the child that grew inside of her was a shared joy for all of us. On Thursday, December 22. Saturday, December 24, 2011. No really, i got so excited to be getting a secret santa type gift. i did take the package from arden and told it was something special for momma to open. of course, she just wanted the envelope so i handed it over once it was emptied. The ornaments we recieved from delightful insanity. in their note they said that they are better at making food and candy, but i think these three ornaments are perfect.
The ups and downs on our path toward our own little nugget! The excitement in planning. I have to admit- I am a planner. We have a Disney cruise planned for this August and I am in full plan mode. This will be our first cruise and I have been reading everything I can! Walt Disney World is our go to vacation. We go every year and I can plan for it in my sleep! A different kind of Valentine.
