Sunday, 26 April 2015. This week I learnt that there was a big battle at Gallipoli. Lots of New Zealand and Australian men fought there and lots of them died or were wounded there. When the boat dropped them off, it dropped them at the wrong place, which meant that the enemy in Turkey were able to fire down at them. It has been 100 years since this battle which is why it has been such a big event this year. Lots of men signed up to the war even though they were under the age of 20 by lying about their age.
