MIDMARSH JOTTINGS

Monday, 9 April 2018. Last Monday I presented this WidsMob Montage for you to identify. As Ragged Robin and Wilma suggested it was of. A grotesque carving on the side of a church. A gargoyle is a carving with some form of hole or spout to drain water from the roof whereas a grotesque is just a decorative carving. As always my thanks to everyone who had a go at identifying it. Now for a new one for you to identify. If you wish to make a guess please leave it in the comments. Sunday, 8 April 2018. The G.

Aunt Tinas Yard

Sunday, February 26, 2012. Where have I been? Small fish, frogs, small crustaceans, dead and alive. We threw back as many as we could that were still alive. I was stunned at the number of crayfish that were left on land. Plants that had been potted, torn from their container.

Hagbourne Wildlife Wildlife in an Oxfordshire village

On 29 January 2018 by bramblejungle. Another RSPB annual Big Garden Birdwatch.

Florida Keys Wildlife An Outsider Looking In

Can you guess what I saw today? I so, so wish that I had a decent photo, but this is all I got. A dark blob in the water with a big mermaid tail.

Lynmirandas Pictures

Pictures of wildlife, places of interest and my garden. Sunday, January 31, 2010. I did a night shift last night and my OH picked me up at 8. 00am, he said the temperature where we live was -8, by time we got home it had gone up to -5. I had a brilliant time counting them this morning and I took a few pictures. I took several pictures of the Goldfinch, they are easier than the other birds, they.

Ramblings of the recently retired

Wickes on line delivery service. I used to live near the Wickes Store in Northampton and bought goods there quite often, but there is not a store in Torbay, the nearest is in Exeter. I discovered they have an on line ordering service so I decided to try it out. All started well, Wickes sent a link to tracking info that said goods have been transferred from Northampton Depot to Exeter Depot and were out on lorry for Delivery on 7th March, between 8am and 6pm.

Snapshots of Beauty

Look at this sweet little doggy face I found down the road. Hence my reference to pareidolia. I, however, have discovered many trapped critters in the local timber fences. Eeeeeeeek! Ewok comes to mind when I look at this one. An alien or a ghost? Whatever it is, those are haunting eyes. And check out sly Mr Fox.

Backyard and Beyond Explorations of a newbie to the Pacific Northwest.

Explorations of a newbie to the Pacific Northwest. To Blog or Not To Blog. August 19, 2010 by suziam48. This post is somewhat moot as I have obviously NOT blogged for a few months now. My friends have mostly migrated to FaceBook. And I confess, I enjoy the accidental findings myself. And for what purpose? .

Twosie the Hedgehog

Hedgehogs and other wildlife in our garden in the Chilterns. Sunday, 1 May 2011. We were rather shocked when we realised it is a month since the last post to the blog, so a bit of catching up is in order.

THE WESSEX REIVER

Countryside musings from a Northumbrian awake in the midst of a dream in the deep West Country. Friday, 14 August 2015. August 13th 2015 - Project Month 8. The village photographed at 8. 45pm on August 7th, dusk before the watershed. The River looking wonderful, willowherb in flower now. Hard to remember how bleak and forbidding this church felt back in January, warm and welcoming now.
