Friday, January 2, 2015. Happy New Year 2015! We bought our pellet stove and had it installed! This old house is drafty and cold, but our stove keeps our parlor and living room the warmest, and gives us a toasty place to warm up in when winter is its coldest. This is now our primary heat source and, so far this year, our only heat source.
Not much happening in the gardening department. This title is pretty spot on. There is not much happening in my garden. These few pictures of blooms is about all there is. A few jonquils although I have planted quite a few more of these this week as my Auntie just gave me boxes of them. The one thing I love about winter is the daphne . Oh how I love the scent of this plant. It reminds me of my childhood. So I am using something I have grown so that counts.

Tuesday, 11 August 2015. Did you hear what i said? We tried somewhere new. Really! We have eaten in the same Turkish Restaurant for years and years but last week when we were celebrating Robs new job Yeah! And on arrival discovered that the owners had sold up and moved to Turkey for an extended holiday. The staff were new though very nice but there were changes and for the boys, the magic was gone. Wednesday, August 13, 2014. The Colors of My Art Room Part 2. In my previous post, I showed how I used color coding with my students. I also use color coding to keep track of the 6 different grade levels I teach. In recent years, I taught most grades in blocks. I might have 4th graders in the morning and 2nd grade in the afternoon. Seating charts were kept in color coordinated binders by grade level. Small binder clips labeled with each room number on.
