This blog is intended to be an opportunity for me to share my experiences parenting a child with FASD. My hope is that it will help me to develop a community of support for myself and that my experiences can provide that same sense of community and support for someone else, as well. Saturday, January 8, 2011. We got a letter. I forgot to mention in the last post that we were notified that Thomas qualifies for the Family Support program this year. Im relieved we wont have to battle that one again.for now. Well be meeting with the social worker next week to come up with our plan. Were going to put some respite in the plan this year, but not much. We now know someone who is willing to take Thomas occasionally, particularly in the summer months for an overnight or long day. Monday, February 1, 2010. I told you my next post would be more positive. This is a six week picture of the twins. They are getting ready to bring Heidi, the bigger one, home sometime this week.
