We drove to Snoqualmie Falls about 20 minutes from our house. Based on a recommendation from Tom and Emily, we took them to the Space Needle and had brunch at the rotating restaurant, SkyCity. Its a little pricey but you dont pay for tickets if you eat there and you avoid waiting in any lines to go up. Chris and B.
