The Medicine Hat JazzFest is a community-based festival that is proud to work in partnership with its sponsors to bring this festival to the city of Medicine Hat. A large volunteer base helps deliver JazzFest and without this crew, our festival could not happen. Volunteers get up close to the artists and the behind the scenes work of the festival. They feel ownership in this big citywide event and for the most part, come back year after year. Artists submissions will be received from Sept. 1, 2013 through the end of Feb.

This true Canadian all-star ensemble includes Seamus Blake. On saxophones, Ingrid Jensen. On trumpet, Jon Ballantyne. On piano and Tom Wakeling. The Alan Jones Canadian All Star Sextet delivers unpredictable improvisations framed by lush melodic passages set in narrative compositions.

Tickets and passes are available at all Tixx Outlets Medicine Hat Mall Customer Service Kiosk and The Esplanade Tixx Central Box Office. Every JazzFest 2013 show, including every club in the clubs and pubs section, with no charge. Feature Jazz Film at the Monarch Theatre. Tickets must be reserved in advance.
