Friday, December 2, 2016. As we have progressed through books 3 through 7 of The Republic, suddenly the concept of Justice seems to be understandable to me. When we first started the subject of Justice, I wrote a blog about how Justice is impossible. Now I realize, although hard it may be, that Justice is slightly possible. The third level is when we realize that the statue is merely a representation of an object in the outside world.

Tuesday, May 31, 2016. It was interesting how Atticus got Mayella to confess that when her father was drunk he would do violent things. Why would they overdo it like that? This book speculates what would happen if the people that were chained in the cave were thrown out of the cave against their will. for example, if they saw a real elephant while outside of the cave they woukd most likely not believe that it was an elephant because for their entire life they were taught that a real.
