Thursday, May 10, 2007. The French elections wrapped up early this week, with the right-wing candidate Nicolas Sarkozy coming out on top. After a run-off election against Segolene Royal. Sarkozy will face a divided country when he takes office on May 16th. As I described in a blog entry back in April. Several of the major cities have prominent troubles with racial and economic tensions, which have already led to riots last fall.
