My hands and feet were so swollen that all I could wear were flip flops. I could not find a position to sit, stand, or lay down that was comfortable. Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Manistee River Trail Backpacking Trip. Not going to make excuses, its been quite a while since we posted last on the blog. Hoping summer will be better, as we will be doing lots of fun things and I wont be as busy with school. Most recently Jennie and I spent our Memorial Day weekend off the grid. Monday, August 3, 2009. Things to do in Winona. There are a variety of things to do in Winona, including walking around the lakes, renting a canoe, or taking a hike in Holzinger Woods. You can find information on these activities and more at the Winona Chamber of Commerce. We would also invite you to drive over to the Wisconsin side of the Mississippi to visit the Trempealeau Wildlife Reserve. There are short hiking trails and an observation platform where you can observe birds and other wildlife.
