1 Are there more inches in a mile or seconds in a day? I thought there were 2000 feet in a mile, but I realized I was wrong when I talked with my neighbor. I changed 5280 to 5000 and 12 to 10. Multiply 5000 with 10 to get 50000. Then I multiplied 280 times 2 to get about 500, add a 0 to this to make 5000. So there are about 55,000 feet in a mile.
