Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Did you know that different ecosystems have different types of soil? Sixth graders proved this is true by developing an experiment where they tested how quickly 90cc of water would drain through each type of soil in seconds. Then, they measured how much of the water drained through the soils in cubic centimeters. After the data was collected, lab reports were written in Microsoft word. Tuesday, February 14, 2017.

Chances are if you have walked down the west wing at Marshall, you have noticed that one of the classrooms is sporting some unique classroom furniture. Graders are testing out stability balls in place of regular classroom chairs. Research has shown a great connection between cognition and movement. Circulation has a lot to do with it.

This was our STEM activity for the month of January. In fact our entire day dealt with hot chocolate from the story we read, to graphing the likes and dislikes of hot chocolate, to our STEM activity. White Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, and Milk Chocolate. What a YUMMY day! .
