Thursday, 10 December 2009. Mask making with Year 1. The children in year 1 made masks by recycling old materials. They attended a special whole school assembly all about useful our old clothes can be to others. As a school we decided to bring in our old clothes and shoes, so they could be sent to countries like Africa, to be recycled and reused by families that needed them. There will be an inflatable evening on 26th June where we will be washing your car. Your car will be sparkling clean! Friday, 24 October 2008. The Great Manford Skipping Challenge. All children from years 3-6 participated in the great Manford skipping challenge. Our aim was to learn how to skip, because it is a fantastic way to keep fit. All children bought their own skipping ropes to be used during playtimes from now on. Sunday, 19 October 2008.
Thursday, 29 September 2011. This year Manford Primary School linked our Citizenship week with the 2012 Olympic values. Year Two were give the word RESPECT to think about and base our work around! We talked about the Olympic values as a whole and then focused on the word RESPECT and what it meant both in general and to us personally. We made posters to show how to show respect to others and gain other peoples. Finally we made kites in pairs and decorated them with the word respect.
First Week of School! Reception have been spending time exploring Manford Primary School. We have been getting to know our new teachers and making lots of friends! Wednesday, 22 June 2011.
