The appearance of vines in our region dates back to the first century BC when the Bituriges Vivisques, a Celtic warrior people, decided to plant their own vineyards with a new grape variety which resisted the cold, the Biturica, ancestor of the Cabernet grape varietals.

Monday, June 10, 2013. I had the pleasure to photograph a sweet little baby boy yesterday. I am really enjoying going through and editing the photos! En siste sjekk før potetopptakinga starter. I disse dager foretas den siste sjekk av fjellmandelen ute i åkrene her på Oppdal, og i neste uke starter opptakinga for fult. Det er mange tonn fjellmandel som i løpet av to korte høstuker skal opp av jorda, inn på lager og kvalitetssikres før den etterhvert havner. Vi har nå tatt ut kvalitetsprøver av årets Fjellmandel, og dette ser bra ut! Det ser ut for at det blir mye god mandelpotet å få kjøpt fra Oppdal utover høsten her.
