Thursday, April 28, 2011. First of all my family and I are fine. The tornadoes went just north and south of where I live. However communities around the state are not, they are devastated by the tornadoes that ripped through the state. Tuscaloosa, where I was born, is completely torn apart and my heart goes out to those families. I watch the news and just cry. Please keep everyone in your prayers. Sunday, April 10, 2011. It has been almost a month since I have posted.

Monday, October 4, 2010. A long time coming. Ive been hiding in the shadows of blogland for, wow, almost 5 months. I think my reluctance to post came from my disappointment with this whole banding process. Things went so well from October 2009 - February 2010 and then everything just stopped. Up to that point I had lost 45lbs which was great but not amazing since I had done the same thing on Weight Watchers a few years back. Heres to never weighing 376 pounds again! A little bit about me. Summer fun - aircon required. I have received another book by John Holt, Teach Your Own. It is a wonderfully refreshing look at children and how they can fit into our lives. He makes many points that I can identify with in how we communicate with children. One in particular were his comments on saying no. So, by moving away from the idea that he is deliberately annoying me, I have decided to see it as a learning opportunity.
