The Lyons Township Historical Society was established in 1986 to save the Historic Town Hall from demolition and restore the building to a usable building for the community. Most of the stories on this blog have been copied from the Lyons Pictorial History complied in 2008 by Linda Skiles.
We created this web site to help researchers of George Emery Lyons Sr. Verify our accuracy and to connect with us. This accuracy is of primary importance; we seek evidence through various types of documentation like censuses, vital records, birth and death certificates and obituaries.
