Kemecsei Arany János Általános Iskola. Bethlen Gábor Általános Iskola, Gyergyószárhegy - Románia. A 780 éves Kemecse városában írásos feljegyzések tanúskodnak arról, hogy már a református és katolikus egyház írni, olvasni tanította híveit. Amikor a lakosság protestáns hitre tért, az iskola alapítása is megtörtént. Sajnos a parókia 1853 körül leégett, ezért nem állapítható meg, hogy pontosan mikortól folyik szervezett iskolai oktatás.
