What if everyone had the opportunity to wake up to fresh snow in the winter, a mountainous landscape surrounding; heck, what if they even were fortunate to wake up to a warm house, running water and flushing toilets, cereal in the cupboard and milk in the fridge. What kind of world would we be living in if this kind of access to the basics. I am thankful for this current expression .

Monday, June 17, 2013. Sunday, April 28, 2013. I will be the first to admit that I never anticipated transitional anxiety about moving to a city as familiar as Portland. New job and co-worker anxiety? Sure, whatever. But PORTLAND anxiety? Never ever saw it coming. It became my transitional sanctuary. There were times I felt that I was downright hiding while I was in practice, but it was mine. Oh my gosh, I love being here.

Climbing news for Western State College and the Gunnison Valley. Tuesday, May 8, 2012. The world is my burrito! And I have definitely learned a lot. About people, climbing, community, and myself. I loved coming up to the gym this last year and seeing everyone crowded in the cave hanging out, climbing, joking around, and making plans for bigger and better adventures. I am really proud of how the climbing community at Western is evolving and I hope it continues to move in a positive direction.
