Saturday, 30 June 2012. On Wednesday Year 2 took part in a mini-Olympics at Ashton Park. We enjoyed trying out new and exciting sports and activities. We are all doing really well at working towards the Olympic Values. As part of our Olympics topic we have been reading and writing Greek myths. Friday, 25 November 2011. Luckwell Primary School Year 3 Blog. Friday, 11 November 2011. This week we have been learning. How to add and subtract using number lines. We have also used this new method for addition and subtraction in real life problems. At first we found it difficult but we all showed super stickability. And are all confident using these methods. Friday, 4 May 2012. It started off with a trip to Bristol Zoo where we hunted for Rainforest Animals. as you can see we got a little side-tracked. Spring has finally arrived and term 5 has begun! To start with we will be allocating class jobs, talking and writing about what we did over the holidays and generally getting back into gear. Sadly our time with drums and ukuleles is over but we will still be working alongside Bristol City FC to learn about healthy living and sportsman-like behaviour.
Friday, 21 October 2011. A brilliant first term! Year 6 have had a fantastic first term. Everyone has shown a good attitude to their learning and really enjoyed our Apollo 2011 topic. Well done to Sam and Ryan for their success at the Ashton Park Cross Country event on Wednesday. They will go on to represent Bristol in November.
