Markets for the antiques per se are not to be found but there are a few shops near the fountain area.

Monday, December 12, 2011. I am supposed to visit Yangon for several days in mid October and am concerned about the current protests at and near the Schwedagon Pagoda. I see no warnings on the US Embassy website. Has anyone been to Yangon this week and if so, any suggestions as to whether it is a dangerous situation? I know that things could change a lot between now and several weeks from now.

Monday, December 12, 2011. The price of getting from Vientiane - Hanoi! Can anyone help me with an alternative to paying over 100pp for flying from Vientiane - Hanoi one way late January 2639;09. That was the cheapest flight I could find, and was with Laos Airlines. Im sure I looked a few months back and it was about 70 and I thought that was outrageous. Especially when you think that the average wage in laos is about 240 a year! Any help would be appreciated. Travel from vientiane to siem reap.CONTENT
