Wednesday, April 20, 2011. Car made by a little boy. Actual pair of well worn shoes worn by one of Compassions sponserees. Compassions Headquarters is in Colorado Springs so we were able to take a tour of the headquarters. This is a typical home of the people that Compassion serves. Our tour guide was wonderful and pointed out to us that the blue gas can would be a typical item used to transport water. 575 million people die each year from water-related disease. Throughout the seasons of the two-in-a-half years we called it ours. Season by season I stand here amazed. This house became a home bursting full of so many memories. Full of love, grace, and joy. It holds memories of mount.

Heal the Wound but Leave the Scar. I used to wish that I could rewrite history. I used to dream that each mistake could be erased. Then I could just pretend. I never knew the me back then. I used to pray that You would take this shame away. The place You brought me from. That keeps me on my knees. Heal the wound but leave the scar. A reminder of how merciful You are. I am broken, torn apart.
