Keep on Keeping on, despite the losses. It has been awhile since I have posted. We worked our way up to 6 hives and then lost all but two. So we are in a re-building phase. Some were from caught swarms, so they absconded. Some were bought from commercial beekeepers and they were weak hives that did not do well. Losses also affected many local keepers. One man had 30 hives and he lost 20. One many had over 100, he is down to less than half that. He lost many in the recent flash flooding. I am not sure whe.
