In some ways, Sisyphus is lucky. He knows exactly what the consequences of his actions will be, and this continually gives him purpose. He is assured of, for lack of a better term, job security. He never has to worry about the future, because he has already lived it. There may not be relief, but there is no uncertainty, no risk, no possibility of things getting worse. Perhaps I should go sleep.
