Does It Suck That Someone On Maternity Leave Is Made Redundant? A theoretical question posted by a friend of a friend. Now that friend is real mad that the lady on maternity leave is going to be made redundant. It has provoked me to wonder why. 1 Yes it sucks that anyone gets made redundant, especially someone who has a new mouth to feed. I think that it is fair that all staff members have an equal chance of redundancy. It seems only fair that those on maternity leave and tho.
