How to read THE SCAMP. My favorite read of the summer. Thank you, Jennifer Pashley, for writing such an intense character-driven serial killer mystery in the dueling voices of Rayelle and Khaki, cousins from a vanishing small town. Two girls fighting, in such different and frighteningly believable ways, to leave behind the damage done by those who were supposed to love them.
I read a lot of books. I Finally Understand The Lost Generation. In exchange for an honest review. I feel like a broken record saying it, but the Roaring 20s have never been my jam. Those of you that have been reading for a while may remember that time I tried to read.

Update - Aug 21, 2008. Cathy succumbed to a long valiant battle with Diabetes, starting at 13. She died on June 1, 2003 at the age of 43. A picture of Matthew and Cathy together in 2002.
