I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. The great lakes truly have been aptly named. I went to Duluth right before Thanksgiving for a couple interviews, and they went very well.

Today as I washed my hands in a public restroom at school, I stuck my soapy hands under the faucet and waited for the water to turn on. And waved my hands a little. and then finally looked down and realized this was not an automatic faucet. Or I have become super adjusted to North American life. Now I can rest easy.
