The Little Red Hen

Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Benjamin Franklin is credited with honor of creating the first mail order catalog, selling scientific and academic books by mail in 1744. Secondly, was Hammacher Schlemmer, in New York City, which sold tools and hardware in 1848. However, Aaron Montgomery Ward makes history in 1872 with the first ever mass mailing of the mail order catalog. Catalogs were mailed to even the most remote families in America. This is truly one of a kind! Posted by Little Red Hen. I love textiles.

Friday, January 10, 2014. Happy New Year, Dear Friends! I always love a New Year. I look forward to setting new goals and making positive changes. I know that can be done anytime of the year, but it seems especially exciting as a New Year begins. I finished a few projects these past few months and have put them in my Etsy shop and or hung them on my walls. It is a good feeling to complete projects and start new ones.
