The Tuesday before Thanksgiving was supposed to bring Utah the worst blizzard it had ever seen. It was all over the news. Schools, malls, roads, and movie theaters closed early. Grocery stores were selling out of bottled water and batteries. Personally, I had a few 12 packs of diet coke and a huge bag of Swedish Fish, so I figured I was ok for a few days. Blame it on the Rain-deer. Frost bitten, twice shy.
Because my life is too funny not to share. The weekend after Easter, my sister was due to race in her very first triathlon. It was the Las Vegas Iron Girl Triathlon and happened to be an all girls event. 800 women swimming, biking, and running all in one central location? Being single, I obviously made it a priority to go down to Vegas and watch my sister in the race. Well it ended up being a bit more interesting than I had planned for. Nikki finishes in 7th pl.
We laugh at each other. We cry because of each other. Despite it all, we love each other. I was so excited to take both of my YW aged girls to the broadcast this evening. It did not hurt my feelings at all that they wanted to sit with their friends instead of their mom.

Saturday, March 24, 2012. A lot of holidays have passed since I last blogged so here is a summary in pictures. We had SO many trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood that I ran out of candy and had to turn our lights off.
