Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Why Hawaii Is The Rainbow State. As I was driving home this morning I glanced over toward the mountains and seriously jumped out of my seat. This rainbow was so vivid, the sight actually made me gasp. The colors were so technicolor it looked fake. Mist covered mountains, moisture laden air and soft eastern morning light is the perfect concoction. This may be the most beautiful rainbow I have ever seen.
