Sunday, July 25, 2004. So i just installed REDHAT linux for the third time, All looks fine. Ready to restart. Well on my ADSL account, i cant add that to the hosts file, since i would be getting a new one every time i connect to the internet dynamic IP and a new hostname every time. Anyway, as an act of despiration, i added hostname -v localhost to the file etcrc.drc.local . everything is running fine. Ok, now that we have worked around the problem, lets get to the old business the things i did su.
