Her torso heaved and sunk in deeply with every breath she took and exhaled.

By the time you realize it has been way too long, months have gone by and you feel that the longing to reconnect has grown so loud that it cannot be ignored. It is at this point that you pick up the phone and confess how much you have missed them, apologize for the delay in contact, and pick right up where you left off. This is precisely where I am at this moment.
