The one on the left will hold seedlings requiring misting and the one on the right will be for my potted plants. This summer many of my plants met their demise by scorching. Monday, July 29, 2013. Winding Down and Gearing Up. As summers go, this one was pretty spectacular. Usually the summer gets so long and drawn out that I have to look for something to keep me occupied and it usually presents itself as a craft project of sorts.

Wednesday, July 5, 2017. Can You Grow Four Melon Varieties In One 4X8 Bed? The answer Yes you can. I planted the following four v arieties in a 4x8 raised bed. They are spaced about 20 inches apart in two rows. Two seed to each mound. Not all the plants made it but I do have at least one plant of each variety. I started the seeds in the bed in mid May. Next year I will start in April, weather permitting. So far the Sun Jewel is doing the best with about 8 melons. Melon bed on the left.CONTENT
