Thursday, August 14, 2008. The passing of Greg Johnson. Monday was supposed to be a happy occasion. It was the first day of school, usually a day of hope and new beginnings. Monday was a sad day. We started the school year without one of our own. Greg Johnson, our assistant principal, passed away at 1 pm on Saturday after a three-year battle with brain cancer. He died peacefully in his sleep with his family at his side. Principal Nelson Noriega told of a time last year when Mr. Johnson coaxed his bos.
