This is an acrylic on canvas painting that I did over the summer. I hated it at first because I like dark colors but it grew on me the more I looked at it. The texture is from gesso applied with a pallet knife. After gesso is dry I paint a color over it and wipe with a paper towel. I came upon this technique when I was in college and accidentally put to much paint on my canvas. . I did this charcoal drawing for a charity auction. Made it into the UVU Frankentien Exhibit. Thursday, September 20, 2012. I learn the strangest things from my daughter. Apparently they were practicing walking for the Homecoming pageant and she floated best, so every one was told to watch her and walk like that!
