Saturday, August 1, 2015. It has been a long journey but Ethan is now out of critical care and up on the regular floor for the remainder of his recovery. He was technically well enough to go up earlier but there were no beds available. Anyone who has had water retention during pregnancy knows what this looks and feels like! He was swollen from head to toe. I was surprised by how heavy it made him! You can see how puffy he is in this photo, espec.

Hotel St Marie New Orleans. We stayed in room 223. It was huge and had a courtyard balcony. This was the best location we have found so far. The hotel wraps completely around the courtyard. Our balcony is one of the small ones on the right in the picture. A larger balcony would have been the only thing that would have made our stay even better. Vacherie is the restaurant in the Hotel.
